Fundraising for RSK

We have all just seen our children enter the world of Robina Scott Kindergarten (RSK), some for the first time.

But theres more we can do to give our children a year to remember - and for us grown-ups, to have some fun and make new friends along the way.

If you have ideas, some spare time, or would like to contribute in some other way, the fundraising team would love to hear from you! Our first goal is to raise funds for laptops to be used for planning and cameras to be used by both educators and the children to document the program... that's just for starters!

You might like to make some suggestions, volunteer for one-off projects, or be a more permanent part of a creative group that intends to make 2014 a fun year. If this sounds like you then please contact RSK admin for the next group catch up.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Three Year Old Enrolments

We have been advised by Hobsons Bay City Council that alternative three year old kinder places are expected to be available in the local area from 2014 to offset the loss of our three year old kinder program. Whilst it is exciting that the expansion of the four year old kinder program in 2014 will allow a more diverse and extensive curriculum to ensure children are even better prepared for school, it is disappointing that 2013 will be the last year of three year old kinder at Robina Scott.

Four Year Old Enrolments

Hobsons Bay City Council provides a central enrolment service for four year old kindergarten programs in Hobsons Bay. Central enrolment ensures fair and equitable access to these services for all residents. Enrolment forms for four year old kindergarten are available from Hobsons Bay City Council and can be downloaded from their website and all forms and application fees must be sent directly to Hobsons Bay City Council. Hobsons Bay City Council allocates places in the year before children are due to attend kindergarten.

In 2014 our four year old kindergarten fees will be $330 per term for the 15 hour program. In addition there is a $30 annual maintenance levy that is fully refundable if families participate in a working bee during the year. For holders (either parent / guardian or child) of a Health Care Card, Pensioner Concession Card or Visa 786 / 785 there is a State Government kindergarten fee subsidy available through the centre, which effectively makes attendance at Robina Scott Kindergarten free for eligible families in 2014.
